We're going to Disneyland next year
Unfortunately I don't know when yet, as we're waiting for our friend to set her wedding date (they're getting married in Vegas!) - and yes, not being able to plan is killing me! I know it will most likely be between May and October though, so we will have three boys aged 2, 4 and 6 in tow
We've taken the two older boys to TDL and that was when they were 16 months and 3 years old, so we're not absolutely untested when it comes to traveling with wee ones. This time though, we'll be outnumbered
One of my main concerns is managing to wrangle the kids and luggage through the airports. The older boys are getting some cute Disney rolling luggage for Christmas, so I'm hoping that they'll be able to handle them themselves. We'll most likely take the pram so #3 will be strapped in and safe until we unload the luggage at check in, but it will mean that only one of us will be able to cart the bags. Another worry is that DS2 (he'll be 4), is very stubborn (wonder where he gets that from
) and if he decides he doesn't want to carry his bag, or even walk anymore, we'll be in trouble!
Then there is the flight. 14 hours
DS1 will be getting an iPod for his 6th birthday and we have an iPad so I think it won't be too bad. We're on a super-tight budget so we'll be looking for the cheapest fares, but not so much that we'll go United, who I believe still don't have the personal IFE. Hopefully we'll be able to find an afternoon flight so the kids will sleep for some of the trip. With books and colouring and a couple of matchbox cars I think we should be okay, but will be happy to hear any and all tips on what else we can do to amuse the boys.
So if you've traveled with very small children, let me know your secrets! How did you get through airports? How did you cope with long-haul flights? Do you still have your sanity?
Oh and one more thing, we're going on our 'big trip' in 2015. The boys know about this and know we're going to WDW and DL then. So far they have NO CLUE about next year, and we're thinking about doing the whole surprise thing and not telling them until the morning we leave. What do you think about that?

well that was my experience at LAX. Make sure the kids have slip on type shoes and easy to remove jackets, and understand they'll have to remove them, as that makes the security situation a bit easier.

All in relation to the size of said pack mule.
We plan to camp out in the Koru Club as it's quieter than the madness of the rest of the terminal. We will fill them full of hot food in the Koru Club before we board and that way they can doze off immediately.
