Questions for those of you with the ipad mini...

I hate the IPAD, it just doesn't seem very user friendly or intuitive to me. DH's mom's kindle fire died so he gave her the android since the IPAD was just too much for her to learn. Now I have to travel with the IPAD and am not a happy camper.

Do you use an android phone? This to me is the key. If you use iPhone then likely won't like Android and if you are an Android user you won't like the iPad. My first computer was a Mac G3 and I loved it. It took a while to get used to a Windows computer when I got an office job and had to use one. It is just what you are used to.

Yes I use an android phone and we use only windows computers at work and at home, not only is DH a computer consultant, I work for an IT consulting company. For the longest time DH wouldn't even have apple products in our home until I got an IPOD to use when running and like I said the only reason he got the IPAD was for testing for a client. I think you are right, it really all depends on what you are used to.

I have an android phone, I've only ever had an android phone and I LOVEEEE my mini! I got it with retina because I keep all of my school textbooks on it and take it to class with me. Apple is a good system for simple things like reading, internet and games, all of which I do on my ipad. I also have a calendar app that I use everyday.

I have an IPad mini and I love, love love it!
My DH has an IPad and I prefer the mini. It fits in my purse and the screen is the perfect size for being on the DIS boards!

I have the iPad Air. During our tax free holiday it was better priced than the mini. I use it for everything including stuff for our business. I take it on trips with us & I do have an iPhone 5c that I also use. We have a kindle, but it mostly is used by DH to watch movies on Netflix when I'm hogging the tv or when we're at WDW.

I've used both. I had an iPad mini for work. It was fine, but I'd have preferred a full sized iPad for what I had to use it for. We're totally Apple users, here, have iPhones and Mac computers, and I wanted a tablet for Christmas. My hubby got me a Samsung Galaxy Tab and I really like it. I mainly use it for web browsing, reading, Facebook, some travel apps, etc. When we went to Universal in January I brought it with me rather than my laptop. My only regret with that is that I'm a very fast keyboard typist, and not so great with a touch keyboard. I had hoped to do some writing/blogging while gone and couldn't find my groove without a keyboard. If I'd had a bluetooth keyboard, though, I would have been perfectly happy.

Between my Android vs my iPad... the iPad gets more use. When iPad is too big.... love my Blackberry Passport w/ keyboard.... it gets far more use than either tablets.

Isn't September when new devices are launched? If so, expect savings on current models. Can you wait a month?

I really think it depends what you start out on phone wise. I hate iPhones but love my mac. I love my samsung note 4.

My kids and dh love their iphones. They love their ipad mini. Its great. Does the same thing as an iPad but in a nice compact size.

My son's mini got cracked...the iPad air was on sale for the same price as the mini 2. So we went to the bigger one. He is so glad that we went bigger. It is better for what he uses it for. My dh liked the iPad also. But my dd13 liked the mini and didn't want a big one.
