Questions for Survivor watchers

I am new to the Survivor shows. Started with the Amazon one as a local woman was on and boy was I "hooked"! this last one was good too. but being the curious person I am, I wonder how they manage some things. Like camerapeople. Do they work in shifts, several to a tribe? Do they endure the hardships, or do they go off duty & eat, sleep, etc.? How is basic hygene handled? Outhouses? Even toothbrushes, no body seemed to have icky teeth at the end. Is medical care available if needed? I would think someone would have access to communication, perhaps a cameraperson.
See what I mean, I just like to know all the details!

I'll help with what little I know. I have watched ALL the Survivors - totally hooked on them!

The camera crews work in shifts and have comfortable shelter, food, etc. during their off-duty hours.

From what I understand, there are not outhouses or toliet paper, they usually dig a hole. In Thailand, the men would be right in the cave where the one tribe slept - yuck!!

No toothbrushes - but you are right - their teeth are always white and shiny!!

There is a medical staff on hand - when Michael fell into the fire on Survivor 2 - Australia - the camera crew radioed for help and they showed a medical team rushing up and then a helicopter landing to whisk him away to the hospital.

I dont know about the camera people,I suppose they work in shifts, and stay at a camp with the host and the outcasts.

As far as hygiene, I read they brushed their teeth with bamboo and used grass to floss. Sandra was on a show and said they each dug their own hole for a toilet, all around a big tree.

Sandra also said she had used a gold necklace to buy 2 egg-laying chickens when they were buying their supplies but I never saw any chickens.
