Questions for empty nesters

Going with 1 BDR would definitely be better no doubt, I'm just thinking about be able to stay longer or more trips. Unfortunately the longer the stay the more the need for the 1 BDR. They are definitely better for lounging around the room and we like having the w/d and DW really enjoys the big bathtub. I might have to eventually(dare I say it)add-on.

we are very close to becoming empty nesters in about 1 year. We still have a 19 year old son living at home while going to a local college and he probably will go there next year too. We thought we would not have to go on spring break week but now our older boys have families and we are taking all of them this year. We are going a week earlier then all of them and then they will join us for the second week. My boys have gone many times and they are worried that the wives will love it to much and want to go back. We already told them after this they are on there own. We hope to have a great time with our grandchildren. Happy vacation eveyone!!!

Although we love taking our daughter and her husband with us (and I hope grandchildren one day!) we love our trips alone-Hilton Head in September was one of the nicest vacations we ever had-beautiful weather, no crowds, relaxing by the pool. We also would rather stay fewer days in a 1BR-if you stay a week you need the washer/dryer and the kitchen (to heat up those restaurant leftovers!). We're spending a week at AKV with the kids this August (they're both teachers) and I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm already planning another trip to Hilton Head or Vero in the off season! :)
