TIA for answering!

1.) i have read i can get the 180+10 ADR option. Do i get both the 6 am online option as well as the 7 am phone option?

2.) will i have FP+ rights (e.g. 60 days out) like other resort guests?

3.) if i buy my park tickets from AAA or somewhere else, can i attach them to my ressie far enough out to do the FP+ thing?

4.) We want to do a dining plan. Okay to wait til the end or do we need to do it 10 months out? Also, what if Disney offers a dining deal for when we will be there? Will we get it too or not if we book with DVC?

Yes, for on-line you would need to link the room reservation to your MDE account. For phone, give the CM the room reservation number.

FP+ is not yet available, still only testing.

You link tickets to MDE. As for FP+, See #2

Free dining is not available with DVC reservations. If you want a dining plan, it must be purchased and the member you rent from must add that to the room reservation at least 2 days prior to your arrival date and it must be paid for in full when added.

Yes. As long as you have the DVC confirmation number, you can use that to book ADRs both online and over the phone at +10 (I'm a renter and have done it both ways over the years).

You're not "booking with DVC." You're entering into a private transaction with a DVC member, and no you won't be eligible for free dining if you do so. Free dining is only available for cash reservations where you pay full price for your room. Frankly, you can find a decent rate renting points that will be more than you'd save by paying rack rate for a regular room at a Deluxe resort, so renting points is more economical than "free" dining anyway.

We usually make arrangements with the person we rent from to pay for our dining plan a few weeks before our trip. With DVC, the dining plan has to be paid when it's booked, so most members will likely require you to pay them first, and then they'll set up your dining after they've gotten your money. It all depends on who you're renting from, though.

There is not enough official information about FP+ out right now to speculate on those questions, IMO.

Thanks for the thorough responses. A bit confused still on the dining. Forgetting about the "free dining" angle...

Why would I pay $2200.00 for deluxe dining today when I can just as easily wait until two days before the trip to pay it?

Also, how does the DVC member transfer to me the dining plan purchase? (We will be using David's Vaca Club Rentals)

That's between you and the member you rent from. The member is the only one that can add the dining plan to the room reservation. Payment must be made in full at that time.

The dining plan is tied to the room reservation. When you check-in, the credits will be on your KTTW cards (or MagicBands if available by then).

You don't have to get the DDP today. As long as you do it (thru the member) at least 48 hours before check in, you can add it. Because you ARE renting, obviously, the suggestion is not to wait until the last minute. You would have to contact David's who would then have to get in touch with the member who will actually have to call MS to setup the DDP. So you have to account for that lag time.

I have added ME and DDP when I've rented thru David's before. Since ME is normally not available at 11 months, these are "later" transactions. Most members know that when they rent, they can have at normally 3 things they have to do (book the reservation, setup ME and buy the DDP).

well now that i have all my questions answered and really have no concerns from any of those responses, i just thought of another really big possible stumbling block.

I expect FP+ to be in effect by june 2014. If I am buying my park tix from elsewhere, say AAA, and they are unable to attach to ME until i check in, isn't this a big problem for reserving a-list rides since at the 60-day mark they will all be gone?

The ME that myxdvz is referring to, is Disney's Magical Express which is free bus transportation between MCO and your Resort.

You would link tickets and room reservation to My Disney Experience (MDE): MyDisneyExperience.com

oops - too many similar acronyms!

so if i buy a 10-day MYW park pass from AAA, my tix don't get added to my ressie until the day i check in, but i could still reserve rides 60 days out assuming FP+ is implemented by then?

Have you been in the new My Disney Experience website (or app)? You can link the serial number of a ticket to your room reservation just like you can link an ADR. You should not have any problems linking a AAA ticket to your room reservation. Questions remain, though, about exactly how FP+ is going to work because it isn't rolled out yet. By June 2014 there should be more answers. Maybe.

No I have not been there - I will check it out - thx for that info - that should resolve that concern depending on the rest of how FP+ works out.

Thanks again everyone!
