We have a trip planned for the end of June with reservations for 2 BR at BWV. I'm thinking about trying to change it (at the 7 month booking window) to BCV because of the pool.
1. How crowded will the pool be with all of the BC, YC and BCV guests all using it?
2. What's the luau like at the Polynesian? Worth it for a family with 1 teenager & 2 pre-teens (i.e., fussy eaters)?
3. Have they restored early entry? When we went Christmas 2001 and August 2002, there was no early entry, just e-ride nights in August.
4. My kids want to go to Universal. We haven't been for 7 years. Is it worth it to bite the bullet (costwise) and stay on site for 2 days? Not having to wait in line in the heat sounds appealing.

Sorry for all of the questions. I just haven't been on the boards for a while. Thanks.

I can answer a few of your questions. They have restored early entry. We also were there in August 2002 and did not have it. We have not been to the Luau in about 10 years, but 3 years ago we did go to the Hoop de Doo, and we all loved it. We had been there many years ago before we and had 3 kids. I was afraid the kids would think it was corny, but they still talk about it and laughed so hard. They enjoyed the food, it was in fact the place where my DD discovered root beer.

On our trip in August 2002 we did spend 4 nights at the Royal Pacific at Universal, and did those 2 parks. We are going to do it again this time. My kids are getting older and starting to like the big rides. It was well worth staying on the grounds to get those front of the line advantages. You just show your room key, and go right ahead, no getting special passes. We do like the WDW much better, so we do Universal before Disney, so as not to experience a let down. I think we will try the HRH this time.
