sorry for not posting in three different threads but figured this would be more effective.

AP questions...
1) can I buy an annual pass (Christmas gift) for someone else (my mother) and link it to her account without issue?
I assume yes, as they will just give me a code over the phone which I will then plug into her MDE account.

2) since AP comes with Memory Maker, is there anything I need to do to link my account with hers so the pictures scanned to my bands show up to edit and download?
In the past I have purchased MM and everything was linked, but this time it will be reversed so I don't know if I need to do anything or not.

Magic Band questions...
1) I have some of our magic bands from two years ago but would like new ones for a few reasons such as making sure the battery is good enough to capture ride photos and of course, making sure we all have a band.
Do I need to "deactivate" the original bands in my MDE account in order to receive new bands?
If I do deactivate them/get new bands, will the original bands still work for same day fp+?

Special Events/Tours/Add On questions...
1) is there a fast easy place to look and get a list of different options/events?
I knew nothing about Early Morning Magic for example until I stumbled on it here. If there is a link or list that I can begin researching that would be great.

2) for something like EMM, can you get a bus from the resorts that early in the morning?
The "reviews" I read all said they drove and park, we would be staying at POR and have no car.

Touring Plans question...
1) is it worth it for seasoned vets who have a solid understandding of everything or is there something that would still be beneficial?

I know I had other questions last night but this is a good start lol
tia for any help, tips, feedback

You don't need to deactivate old bands in order to get new ones. If you have an onsite resort reservation you'll get the opportunity to customize new bands. (Though DME are having issues seeing this option right now, as you'll see from subject lines here the last week or so)

I have 13 active bands from past trips and two from two upcoming stays ready to go.

1) Yes, you can buy a pass for someone else, like your mother. Link it to her MDE.
2) Then link her account to yours. MM should work for both.

1) You shouldn't need new bands. If I was staying off site, I wouldn't buy another set. But if you are simply receiving new bands free, yes, you can have more than one set linked to MDE. I only have 5, but they all work. Yes, you can deactivate them, but they stay on your MDE and you can't use them for someone else or SDFP.

1) There probably is a site that lists most if not all events. But Disney is the only reliable site that I have found that has everything. And they don't have a list.

Special events are covered buy the buses, unless otherwise noted on the Disney site.

1) I think Touring plans is worth it. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about Disney. If nothing else, I like their lines app.

Agree with what has been posted already. I actually find out more from DIS than the Disney website. I feel like lots of extras aren't promoted or easy to find (like tours for example).

I think I'm in the minority around here but I don't thing Touring Plans are worth it. There are tons of good, free lines apps. And if you're experienced enough I don't think you need to pay to have someone tell you how to best plan your day. Just my opinion though.

For your magic bands I would not worrie about the battery my MB still work after 3 years and 60+ days in the world

No you do not need to deactivate your bands (I have about 20 MB all work) you can not use your old ones for FP UNLESS you set up a new MDE account ( not worth it ther is a thread somewhere about how to do it )

Here is a list of tours form Disney web site
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/

I have every used touring plans and would never use it.

Disney just started to revamp the website to be able to find this stuff easier.. The new Enchanted Extras section of the website can be found at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/enchanting-extras-collection/ This lists a lot, but not all of the stuff going on but grouped into categories like "limited time", dining, etc....

In general, on the website it's all under the "Things to do" section. It's kind of a pain to see it all but everything is somewhere in that. blogs, forums, youtubers, etc are still the best source for all little things going on.

The "reviews" I read all said they drove and park, we would be staying at POR and have no car.

I forgot the official transportation wording but I think it's 1 or 1 1/2 hours before part opening. The reality is, the first bus shows up about 6:30am give or take 10 minutes. they run about every 30 minutes until the official window when they pick up in frequency. I've successfully gotten to MK long before I needed to catching a bus. Also there isn't much traffic so it tends to eb about a 10-15 minute bus ride that early. With the new when the next bus will arrive screens, it's become easier to know if your waiting for no reason.

If your really concerned, catch the bus from the main entrance (I forget what it's called at POR). You have the additional option if your anxious or worried of summoning an uber or asking a castmember out front to get you a cab. Cabs are generally parked in the lot nearby and there in a few minutes at most. Just keep in mind when a cab or uber drops you off, it's at the TTC which is another 20-30 minutes to ferry or monorail (usually ferry only that early) to MK. A better solution if you do hail a cab/uber is to have them drop you off at contemporary and it's a 10-15 minute walk to MK.

Only 1 way to know and that's to get it. You don't have to follow it but nobody can really tell you how successful you'll be with one except you trying to follow one.
