My grand daughter will be going to Vero Beach for her Honeymoon in 2015

They plan on flying so they do not have to use extra days off work by driving .
How old do you have to be to rent a car as neither will be 25 when they are going.

Otherwise any suggestions/recommendations on transportation from MCO to Vero beach and costs?

Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks

Yes, most car rental agencies (the big ones) allow drivers 21 years and older to rent cars. Usually under 25 will incur a rental fee (surcharge) per day for the privilege; however, some corporate accounts may waive this fee. Check your insurance agent, AAA, or any other corporate affiliation you can leverage to rent a car (for instance our USAA membership allows for drivers 18 and older).

Here are some links to the agency policies:

Avis

Budget (not directing right. Click on Customer care then Common Questions on the top menu bar)

Hertz

Alamo

Thanks so much this will help

Hertz has a special membership program geared to allowing young drivers to rent. Free to join. Might just want to join, even if she does not rent through Hertz as you never know when it might come in handy:

Also, if she went to some university, many of the agencies have deals....for example, if she was a student at, or alumni of UC Berkeley Enterprise has a special ID that allows underage rentals etc.

You could search for example "hertz university berkeley"

Here's the valid link for complimentary Hertz #1 Club Gold Membership For Young Renters (age 21 - 24), with no additional fees related to age.

This programs requires the use of a the Hertz Gold Family CDP Number when renting. I don't know if that CDP Number provides a discounted rate or only serves to hide the young driver surcharge.

Try it. See if allows reservations that are a better value than discounted rates with the young driver surcharge added. Then please update this thread with what you find out.

Thanks but I am not sure what Sixt is sorry
Sixt is a car rental agency that is pretty popular (and widespread) in Europe, who is beginning to expand in the US. They should be considered the same as Hertz, Avis, etc.

ETA: Here is a quote from a Wiki page on Sixt:

Sixt is a Worldwide car rental company headquartered in Pullach, Germany. It has around 4,000 service stations in over 105 countries. Sixt was founded in 1912 by Martin Sixt in Munich, and continues to expand internationally.
...

Sixt is the 5th biggest car rental company in the World and is the largest BMW car rental company in the world. Sixt is named after the founder's last name Martin Sixt.
