we are heading to Disney in July for about 4 days...just was wondering if anyone had advice on which were the best parks for our kids age...8,6,6,& 5? I know we will do Magic Kingdom but any other park suggestions? also were thinking about possibly doing Discovery Cove?? any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks...hope I posted in the right spot...I am new here :)

We went for 8 days in the fall dh, me, ds10, dd6, dd2. We were at mk at least 3 times, kids favorite. Only spent 1 day at MGM wish we could have done 1 more. And of AK just bc of Everest and I loved lion king. I have never been to Discovery Cove. Had a friend go last year and they loved it. I think it's a lot of money but they said it was worth it. Great memories are priceless.

If you only have 4 days, I would stick with just Disney. If you look at the ticket prices, that 4th day is really inexpensive compared to the 1st 3. If you have time on your arriving or departing days you could add an extra day(s) for that, too, which is actually cheaper than park hopper on the 4-day ticket.
With 5 days, I would do 2 days at Magic Kingdom and 1 at each of the others. With 4 days, you could either do one day at each or drop one of the "others". For us, we would probably drop MGM, because it isn't our favorite, but different families like different things.

I would def think you would spend the bulk of the time at the MK. Surprisingly for many, EPCOT is a huge pleaser for quite a few kids of all ages-it's actually my 5 year olds favorite place. Cool rides, great countries to wander through, short lines for character encounters and great restaurants. We just did DIsney Studios this past time (they are 2 and 5)- i hadn't been since my 5 yr old was a baby because I didn't think there was a lot for them to do- but they both loved it as well. I too would hold off on Discovery Cove- there is more than enough to do in Disney that you are paying for.

In order my kids (10F, 6M, 5M) favorites:

Magic Kingdom
MGM
Animal Kingdom
EPCOT

I 2nd the notion of staying in WDW. 4 days isn't a lot, and the parks are very crowded in July.
