Questions about using Disney VISA points

I have the Disney VISA, have quite a few points, and know how to get the card for using them. My questions: Are these points redeemed point-for-dollar? If I have 50 points, is that like $50? Also, where can I use these? Will WDW take the points for PH passes or in payment for CP or MVMCP passes? What about TDS? Will they take the points towards park passes?

The points can be used for all those things mentioned. You have to log into your account and then there is an option to "manage rewards". Go in there and there is another option to order a Disney Rewards Card. This is like a gift card and you transfer $$$ to it as it accrues. However, the cards are only good for 2 years after you order it so make sure you're going to WDW/DL within that timeframe...

You can probably also call them and do the same thing but I like to do things through the web

My understanding is that the Rewards Card expires in December of the year after you order the card, so it could be anywhere from 13 months to 23 months. If you order the card between now and the end of 2004, your card will expire in Dec. 2005. If you order the card in January 2005, your reward card will expire in Dec. 2006. They say the card takes about 2-3 weeks to get after you order it. You can use the card at any Disney owned business. You won't be able to buy PH from ticket brokers but you should be able to buy them at the Disney Store, WDW, etc.
