Ok, sorry to bring this up, but having stayed at the Wilderness Lodge for the past few years one thing that really keeps me awake is the good ol' "woosh" from all of the other hotel rooms throughout the night! ;)

We will be staying at the VWL for our 1st trip "home" this summer, and I was just wondering if I'll be hearing the "royal flush" in the villas, too?!

Also, we are one party of 5 staying in a 2BR. However, we will have 2 vehicles with us. Will we be able to get two parking passes?

Thanks in advance for any info.!

hi: we are staying at vwl next month so we can let you know if there are noise issues. I never noticed a big problem when we had stayed at wl before (probably because we were totally wiped out after chasing teenagers around). we usually stay at bwv and don't have much of a noise problem there.

We had a dedicated VWL studio in December, and it was very very quiet at night and at all times.

We dont' have/use them, but have you considered a "white noise" machine?

VWL is pretty quiet.

you can easily get 2 parking passes - just ask the front desk when you check in.

The first of December we stayed in a dedicated 2bdrm (5556). It was the last room on the floor and very quiet. Never heard a noise from any of the other rooms.
Also being on the top floor, we didn't hear anyone walking around above us.

We have stayed at VWL three times. I don't recall ever hearing the "turbo" flush from other rooms. If I did I've blocked it from my memory bank because I was just happy to be at the Villas. Also we've never had serious issues with "dancing feet" from above. A bus driver told us when staying at SSR that they walls are double thick for hurricane protection, so that probably helps with the noise also. Don't know if all resorts are that way but I would think the newer ones are.

We just stayed at the VWL last month and didn't hear the infamous woosh! Our worst experience with the woosh was at SSR.

We just returned from a week at the VWL (in 5557) in a 2BR. It was so quiet and peaceful, our room overlooked the lake and we never heard any sounds from any other room.

It was our first trip as DVC members and we were extremely happy with the villas.

Our stay was very quiet last January. It is perhaps the most peaceful resort on property.
