Questions about the provided pack'n'play at the resorts

We're staying at POFQ. I was told they do not have portable cribs, but only pack'n'plays.

DD will be 20 months when we go. She is currently 33 inches tall.. I'm really not sure how comfortable a pack'n'play will be for her to sleep in.

So, the questions.
1. Did you put your toddler in the pack'n'play to sleep?
2. How did they do?
3. Did the resort provide bedding?
4. If the pnp didn't work out for you, what do you do for an alternative?
5. Any general suggestions for making this work?

Thank you so much!!

We've used the pack n play many times over the years. Our dd's get so tired at Disney, they seem to sleep better than usual, which counteracts the "unfamiliarity" of a different bed.

Disney provides crib sheets. You could bring your dd's favorite toys/blankies.

My son is 18 months old, 34 inches tall. He will not sleep a whole night in the PnP. We've done naps and occasionally beginning of the evening at a friend's house, but he tosses and turns too much over the entire night and cries when he hits the mesh too much - he's really too big for it now. So he sleeps with us. I have friends who's kids started climbing out around 20 months. And Russ is probably close to that.

We're staying at Shades of Green and they have "real" cribs, but after our recent trip I'm worried that "real" means metal (half our hotels had PnPs, half had metal cribs), and of course, he wakes up when he hits metal, too. *sigh*

I'm thinking about getting bedrails and letting him sleep in our extra queen. Then he has all the room in the world!!

My DS was 2-1/2 on our last trip, and he slept fine in the pnp. He was used to sleeping in one at DS grandma's for a nap though. They provided at least one sheet when it came to the room, and he needed a clean one on the first trip and we had no problem getting another one from mousekeeping. We put it between the bed and the wall near the door at CBR and between the dresser/entertainment stand and the wall near sink at ASMo, no problem with fitting it in the room at either resort. It worked fine for us. They also had a blanket in there, and we took a pillow from ds4's bed. Our alternative plan was to have him sleep in the double bed with ds4 and a bed rail if that didn't work out. I agree with the other poster that said he was so tired, he was out like a light when we put him in there.

Hope this helps!!

I'm pretty sure they provide sheets for the pnp's. My DS refused to sleep in one. The mattress was too thin. I don't think it is the size so much for him because we were able to get a real crib (metal) and it was about the same size as the pnp. It had a nice thick mattress just like in our crib at home so he did fine in it even though it was cramped. He just couldn't tolerate the thin mattress of the pnp. It might be worth it to try a trial run with a pnp at home if you have one. If it doesn't work out, you can rent a full-size crib from abbf.com or try some alternative arrangement (i.e. sleep in bed with you etc.).

Good luck!

Do you use a pack and play normally? If not then she probably won't like it. My DD sleeps in it all the time and she likes it alot.
