Hi all!
I'm new here, and I have found this to be a great place with lots of information! I'm finally researching for my future trip to WDW in November, and I still haven't decided on the hotel. I'm liking the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, as the pictures look great and the reviews too, but I was just wondering, do all rooms have that green and floral decoration and that floral wallpaper in the bathroom? I'm just asking because the hotel grounds look so breathtaking and beautiful, and to be honest, I find that room decoration a little weird and outdated. It doesn't appear to go too well with the rest of the hotel. Not that there's something really wrong with it, it's just that I'm a very visual person, and the room specifically just kind of made an impression with me, especially when compared with the rest of the resort. I've read somewhere that the hotel is starting to show its age. Is this true? Since I've never been to the hotel, I can't really tell what's true and what's not. So, how does the hotel REALLY look, up close and personal?
I also read that it is very closely located to Downtown Disney, but some other review stated that it was located in a dangerous, unsafe zone. So I'm a little confused. How close is the resort to the parks (both Disney and Seaworld and Universal)? And what other places/amenities are close by (restaurants, malls, etc.)?
Anyway, I would just like to know your overall impressions on the hotel. Your input will be so greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
