Questions about taking a church group to WDW!

The youth at our church want to take a group trip to WDW. Since I am the WDW nut at church, everyone looks to me for planning. Do they have some kind of room and ticket discounts for groups. Is it different reservations? I'm sure this will be a budget trip and not over 4 days ( we live about 5 hours away) so I know that all stars or pop century will be our best option. What about planning each day? Thanks for ANY help -- I have no idea where to begin!!

I'm a travel agent who sent a Church Group to WDW last summer for 5 days. They had a great time and we're currently planning their next trip. Room reservations and ticket purchases are handled throuh the Group Sales department-yes there are discounts! My group didn't purchase meal vouchers, though they were available. I was "assigned" a coordinator who helped with all the arrangements. If your group is tax exempt you'll save money on the tax for your rooms and tickets. My group did all their own planning as far as daily activities. I do know they spent a day at Typhoon Lagoon and 1 day at Universal. Hope this helps!

I did this with a church youth group. We rented tents from FW and had a great time. We stayed in the Group camping area and had our own campfire program on eveing. It really was a lot of fun. You also might consider visiting when they have their Nights of Joy. They are wonderful.

If you are booking more than 10 rooms, you will qualify for a 35% group discount of lodging.

IIRC, even better than that is that if they have a code promo or you use AAA, those discounts are applied first, and then you still get the 35% discount! Woo hoo!
