Questions about rides....

While my family and I have been to WDW many times, we've never been to US. We'd like to change that on this upcoming trip, but wondered if anyone could help us with some information about the rides. I know US has tons of roller coasters and that's great, but not for my crew.

Can anyone tell me which rides do not have drops in them? That's really the only problem for us. The drops. The only two rides we don't go on in WDW are Mount Everest (for the obvious reasons) and Splash Mountain.. while tame, it has that one big drop! LOL

Now, little drops are fine.. i.e. Test Track, Pirates of the Caribbean, Thunder Mountain, Dinosaur and even Space Mountain! Speed is also perfectly fine.. just no drops! LOL

So, can someone give me the scoop.. like for example, The Mummy ride? The video makes it look really scary, but if there are no big drops,
I'd hate for us to miss out on it... you know?

I thank you in advance for any help you can give me! I can't tell you how much I'd appreciate it! :)

Universal Studios has a few rides that don't have drops. The Simpsons is a simulation ride - basically a huge screen and your car moves around a bit (side to side), but no drops. Men in Black is similar to Buzz and Toy Story Mania - its a shooter game, no drops. Shrek 4D is just a movie. I don't believe the Mummy has any big drops, but it is a pretty fast rollercoaster and does go backwards at some point.

Universal also has some fun shows like Disaster and the Horror Makeup Show.

If you're also doing Islands of Adventure (which I highly recommend!) then you can go on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Spiderman, and mostly all the rides other than the Hulk, Dr. Doom, Duelling Dragons, and Jurassic Park.

Oh yeah, I should have clarified that we will be going to all that Universal Studios has to offer (including IoA)! We'd like to spend three full days there, seeing and doing everything we can!

At Universal you can do Despicable Me (if it is open), Shrek, Twister, Mummy has two drops about like BTMM, Disaster, Men in Black, Simpsons, Horror Make-up Show, ET, Animal Actor's Show, Woody Woodpecker Coaster, Fievel's Playland and the Curious George Playland and Terminator.

At IOA you can do Storm Force Acceletron, Spiderman, Popeye's Bilge Barges, Me Ship the Olive, Pteranadon Flyers, Camp Jurassic, Jurassic Park Discover Center, Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff, Ollivander's, Sinbad Show, Poseidan's Fury, High in the Sky Trolley, One Fish Two Fish, Cat in the Hat, Caro-Seuss-el.

I have never been on Spiderman, but Universal Orlando 2012 says, "The ride culminates with a 400-foot drop through the cartoon canyons of New York to almost certain death on the streets below." Are you SURE that Spiderman doesn't have a drop?

It is a simulated drop and a simulated almost certain death.

Your vehicle is on a flat track.

Thank you VERY much for the information!!! This really helped us a LOT!! :)

That made me giggle :rotfl2: the Spiderman building is sooo small! No 400ft drops ;)
