We are going to Disney in October (Oct. 15-22), and we will be staying off-site. Are we "allowed" to walk around and explore at the resorts, or is this frowned upon? The campfire at Ft. Wilderness sounds like fun, but I'm not sure if that's open to resort guests only.

I am already planning our trip, and it seems so far away, but I'm just so excited. Our DD's are 7 and 4.

Thanks for your help!

Yes, by all means everyone and anyone is allowed to visit any of the WDW resorts to walk around, explore, shop or have a meal at any of the restuarants and/or food courts. They encourage it as it helps people to decide to stay there on their next WDW vacation;)

The only thing they DO NOT Allow is for non guests of the resort to use the pools, other than that, enjoy!:)

Sorry, no idea about the campfire though...I'm sure someone who knows will come along and post for you though:wave:

The campfire is open to anyone. It is so open they couldn't keep non-guests out even if they wanted to.

I always warn people, though, that you may get bitten by the FW 'bug' and never be able to stay any where else!

Being at FW is like being on :cloud9: !
