Sorry if this has been covered before. I normally am pretty laid back when it comes to rooms, I'm just happy to be at WDW. But, this will be my 4 year old DS second trip (first I think where he will have any idea what is going on, he was 2 the first time.) Anyway, I want to get a room where he can see Mickey's Castle (what he calls it) We have a lake view room and I know it's best to ask for a room on the 3rd floor, but since I have never requested a special room I'm not real sure how to go about doing it. Also can I ask for a certain room (provided it's available)? If so does anyone have a suggestion of a room with a good view of the castle? I have done well over 60 trips down there staying on property and this has me feeling like a noob, lol. So any help is greatly appreciated!

High floor would be my request. Asking by room number limits your chances. What are the odds that that room will be checking out the same day that you are checking in?

That's what I figured, but I just needed to hear it from someone else, lol.

I requested higher floors to increase my odds of getting either a 2nd or 3rd floor room. We got 2020 and it was amazing to see MK across the water!

There's only one building for lake view, so you want to make top floor your only request. I was in 3020 and had a perfect view.
