i need your assistance. i am in the process of planning a once in a lifetime trip for my mom and i next august. i am planning on staying concierge at one of the WDW deluxe resorts and wondered about gift baskets in the room and private dining experiences. i have read on these boards that some of you have done both and i was hoping that you wouldn't mind sharing cost and details with me? i have less than a year to budget and plan this trip and want to take a WDW trip like i haven't taken before.

that being said....what types of baskets have any of you had waiting for you upon arrival? cost?

also, what private dining experiences are available around WDW? cost? thanks so much in advance!!!!!!!

bump....will no one share with me an estimate for a basket or the welcome plate of chocolate covered strawberries to be waiting in my room at disney. (hopefully GF)

not sure of the website, but there is a disney florist site i saw once that did both
good luck

Well, when you say private dining I think you need to be more specific. Are you simply looking for something like the chocolate covered strawberries or cheese and crackers, or do you want a private dining experience?

I'm pretty sure the chocolate covered strawberries can be ordered from most deluxe resorts room service menus, and are around $3 each. The concierge can take care of requests like this in advance for you.

If you are looking for an "experience", you could spend thousands. A private dining experience could be room service dinner on your balcony (I would imagine in the $100-300 range), private dinner with butler service on the Grand One (around $1000 for the boat and dinner, based ona two hour charter), the monorail(I haven't a clue how much that one would cost, I would imagine at least $1000), or any number of other creative options. Again, the concierge at your resort can assist with this.

For gift baskets, I highly suggest Shirley, one of the DisBoards sponsors, her website is www.theperfectgift.cc She'll customize your basket for you, and you can get a general idea on her prices on her site.

She made a basket for our cruise, and I couldn't have been happier! She also made the most beatiful floral arrangement we've ever had! The basket was around $125, and included a six of beer, a bottle of wine, a six of iced tea, beach toys, playing cards, a waterproof disposable camera, SeaSafe sunblock, and more. The flowers were around $100. You can see photo's of both if you click the link for the cruise photo's in my sig.

I've also gotten a snack basket from the WDW Florist which had cheese, crackers, candies, etc., and a fruit basket from them as well. Both were in the $40-60 range.

Hope this helps.

They have Disney characters and they look so cute. This is our first time though.

Have a great trip!!

Imgoingplaces,
I noticed they had a space for a promotional code when ordering--I was wondering if anyone had the code?
