So, I booked this morning and the only onsite hotel available was Portofino. I know nothing about it as I always researched the other two.

We have a deluxe club level room. Can someone give me the low down on that room? I understand that the club level rooms are scattered at Portofino, which I find weird. Are we gonna hate this? I am getting concerned!

Plus the parks are apparently farther from Portofino - I'm wondering why it is the most expensive of the three :scared1:

Don't worry at all, you are booked only at possibly the nicest resort in the entire United States IMO. Portifino is AWESOME, very plush, beautiful resort. You aren't that far from the parks really, and you can always take the boat into the parks which is the best way to travel in anyway, its only about a 6 or 7 minute boat ride.

I am not sure about your club level questions, but from what I remember the club to get all your snacks and stuff should be close to your room. Don't worry, you'll have a great time, that place is great. And also IMO has the best pool out of the 3 resorts. There are several pools there, but the large one has a cool castle with water slide and waterfall, plus there are several very nice hot tubs in the pool area with waterfalls too!

Oh BTW someone just posted a new thread about their first time at PBH check out their thread it will help alleviate your fears, they apparently love the resort, I think it was posted by bean bunny or something like that.

Thank you so much for the response! I was getting a little worried. I am a little concerned about the distance. We do not normally like the boat rides at Disney so we probably will walk. I'm trying to get a feel for the distance. We have walked from the Beach Club at Disney to Hollywood Studios and found that walk to be fine. Can anyone compare the distances from Portofino to the parks with that?

I want to say its about a 10 minute walk, but its hard to remember. I only did that particular walk 1 time and it was on my very first visit to the resort years ago. The boats are very tame, so I don't think you would have a problem with the boats. They are a nice slow gentle ride into the City Walk / Parks area.

We loved Portofino Bay Hotel We stayed club level last August. It was wonderful. The food offerings in the lounge were much better than the club level offerings at Disney deluxe hotels. The service is excellent. The rooms are luxuriously appointed and large. The bathrooms are huge. The boats are faster and come more regularly than do those friendship boats at the Epcot area resorts.

We loved it so much, we're considering staying at PBH for our entire stay next time and just driving to Disney.
