Questions about Photo Pass

:confused3 I just read about Disney's Photo Pass. In one review a participant said that you could not get 4 by 6 photos--only 5 by 7 and up. Surely this can't be right! Has anyone used the Photo Pass, and would you suggest it? I have 4 kids who want to bring cameras. Only problem is MOM will be the one lugging them around and trying to take all the pictures. Let me know what you all think of the Photo Pass. I am considering it to our own cameras. . .

options - regular prices

5x7 - 12.95
8x10 - 16.95
4 wallets - 12.95
5x7 and wallets - 16.95
20 photo cards - 39.95
2nd set photo cards - 24.95

no 4x6's

Is it true you can buy the photos then make copies of them (in the sizes you want) at home?

They are also starting to integrate the attraction photos onto the photopass. Might be a better option for you to buy the disc for $99 then you can bring it to print where ever you want and get your 4x6's.

I'm dumb here. When you say attraction photos, what do you mean? Are they of the rides WITH us on them, or what?

Photo pass is great! I have about 70 pictures on it. My friend got about 110 on hers. Problem is is that the photographers aren't everywhere you want them to be. I would have missed showcase characters and the great hugs my kids got. That includes Prince John, Belle and Beast, Mulan and who know how many others.

Also, I took almost 400- 500 shots myself with a "big" SLR camera. My kids took their pictures also, with the disposable ones. If they wanted to use it, they carry them theirselves in waist packs along with their autograph books, pens ect.

Dont make it harder on yourself. If they want to have stuff with them , make them wear or carry it!

The PHOTOPASS is only for the PARKS. The attractions/rides have their OWN souvenir photos.

When you FIRST walk into ANY PARK you will see CM's many of them standing around with cameras. GO RIGHT UP TO THEM, unless they come to you first and they will take your picture.
Pose as many times as you want. Just you, just your kids, the whole family, easy and easy. The FIRST time you do this a CM will give you a PHOTOPASS card that you will carry with you to all the Parks.
FILL IT UP. It holds 300 pictures.
Do this in every single park, at every single spot in the parks. I am telling you it is a BLAST. LOAD UP THE CARD.
Have many many pictures taken daily. The CM's are there for you to take your pciture at every spot you want. If they do not approach you, you approach them. They are all accommodating.

Ahh...thank you for saying that...Test Track was actually closed when we were there in early FEB.

Have not been there since Feb 2006 so I am sure things change quite a bit in just a short bit of time.

I know my son went in March and they added ALL THE BORDERS to his photopass for NO additional charge and now I understand NO borders anymore!!!! :confused3

i was going to copy & paste this, but it was way to long. If you go to
alllearsnet.com s site under theme parks you will see there was an update for Aug. 2006 re: photopass. It says where their will be additional photographers some in resorts, down town disney, and at bibbity bobbidy boutique in addition to the parks & they are adding the attraction photos (the photos from tower of terror, splash mountain, etc) Test track is supposed to be the first one, but I think it said something about some of them being ready by the end of the year? (too bad the character meal photos aren't listed)
Take a look it was pretty good :teeth:

You can get all your photos on a disc for $99. and print them in whatever size and where ever you want :cool1:

is this the price regardless of if you have 20 pics on the pass or fill it up with all 300?

This is what I read here on the DIS...many DISer's coming home and those that had been many times were NOW being charged additionally for the borders...!! This was right after my son got back in March that people started saying no more FREE borders added to the Photopass CD!

YUP...but FILL IT UP. Take as many photos as possible ALL DAY LONG whenever you see a CM with a camera!!! You will get USED to it as your stay progresses...pulling out your ID card and loading the PASS UP!!!

So how hard would you say it is to fill it up all the pictures in 5-6 days?????

We are going in June 2007 and plan to use the photo pass. One question though. Most of my family is going so we will be traveling with a large party (possibly 12-16 people). Can we get one Photo Pass and use it for all of us or does each family need their own?

You can each get your own Photo Pass, but you can put more than one pass on a CD to fill it up!

Is there somewhere to view the photos that have been taken, so I can see whether I want them? Either at the park or the hotel or home? I have a daughter in the cover-my-face-for-pictures phase. I'm not interested in spending $99 for 300 of those.

I am not exactly sure of the Parks...but we brought our laptop. Every night we would enter our ID# from the card and our password on the Disney Photopass web site and we were able to view all the pictures taken THAT day.

It really is NEAT!!! :goodvibes
