There will be 2 adults in a room (each with one child). If we both have stuff delivered to our room, do they have a way to keep it all separated? Such as letting you write your name on it somewhere?

What about your room key? We want to keep purchases and our account separate. How does all this work? (being in the same room)

Unless you are staying concierge the packages will be delivered to the gift shop at your resort. You pick them up there.

Each card has a different number so you can see who bought what. I am not aware of a way to keep your purchases separate besides that.

You can keep your park purchases separate by simply making the purchase separate. The CM will bag your purchase as if you were taking it home but secure it with staples (plus any other packaging necessary) and a slip with your resort information and the items enclosed. Each purchase will be packaged this way and then sent to your resort gift shop. You can pick them up usually after 2pm the next day and you will have to sign for them.

As far as the room charge unfortunately you can not separate them. I often share a room with my SIL on our "moms" only trips and since I usually book the room with my AP I use the room charge and she just uses her own CC'd or cash at the parks.

The above two posters are correct. When you make a purchase to have delivered back to tyour resort, you will have to fill out a form that will list your name, room number, resort, etc. I think you also have to put on your home address too in case something happens to the package and it gets lost. So you can keep your purchases separate that way.

And each room key will have a slightly different number. Like my husband's would end in 02 and mine in 01. When we would charge something to the room, we could easily tell who did the buying.

You are the one that fills out the package delivery form so I would suggest writing some sort of note to yourself maybe at the bottom of the form that you would understand so as to hint whose package belongs to who. Depending on where your staying they will be delivered to the resorts gift shop and they are very well packaged so you can't even see what is inside because they put alot of staples across the entire top of the bag.

There is a way for them to do separate charges at check-in. I can't seem to find the thread using the search feature, but you may want to drop the DIS'er "TheRustyScupper" a private message or e-mail. He knows the correct terminology to ask for at the front desk.

If you want separate charge cards for everyone . . .

1) At check-in, tell the CM you want a "SHARE" reservation.
2) You must use this very specific term.
3) Each person can have their purchases go directly to their own credit card.
4) Some CM's may say it can't be done.
5) Ask for a manager, or ask them to review the Front Desk Procedure Manual.
6) It is in the index under SHARE.
7) This can be done at any WDW resort.
8) Takes, maybe, an additional 5-10 minutes at check-in.

9) What happens (example: Mom and Daughter want different charging)
. . . Mom and Daughter go to Front Desk to check-in
. . . Mom asks for "SHARE"
. . . she gives her credit card
. . . the CM checks her in
. . . daughter asks for "SHARE"
. . . she gives her other credit card
. . . the CM makes a "dummy" reservation on-the-spot for the daughter
. . . the daughter's credit card is assigned to the "dummy" room number key
. . . in practical sense, Mom is room #1111-"A", Daughter is #1111-"B"
. . . each person's key charges goes to their own credit card
. . . exception is room charges like phones or room service go to first check-in
. . . you can do this for each person in the room or on the reservation, no limit

NOTE: Using this method, the room reservation (room, tickets, DDP, etc) cost can be split between key holders or applied to one key holder - take your pick.

Any resort can have a shared reservation you are correct. But every resort have a specific Procedure Manual like you call it. Just to let you know and not to create any inconveniences for people staying at resorts that are not convention resorts some resorts do not allow "shared members" on their reservations. If you send a person to a Front Desk asking for that specific term they will know the information came from an actual or former RLOB Cast Member and will still refuse to do so.
