Questions about new AP program?

I chose not to enroll in this new AP program Disney has b/c I am uncomfortable with a non-refundable deposit. We may also add or delete days to our reservation.

So, can I still watch for AP codes and/or general codes and apply them? Or is Disney not going to release these to the general public? Do I have any other options as an AP holder?

Don't think I like this new program, but am always open to improvements!

I wrote and a CM called me and told me that this is a new perk and an addition to the regular way that AP rooms are reserved. However, keep in mind that the best rate program will give those AP holders the best/lowest rate available. Once AP rooms are released for the same time frame, the availability will be extremely limited and may not be available at some resorts, especially the popular ones like BC and WL. I think I will still find rooms at A/S sports and music, so that's OK with us.

So I can get the AP rate IF I am flexible with my dates and/or resorts? I think that that's the way to go for me then!

The new Passholder "Best Rate Program" Internet offer has been introduced for Passholders that want
to plan further in advance while using the convenience of internet booking. We still have the usual
Passholder offers available through the Disney Reservation Center. However, please know that
seasonal resort programs are traditionally only determined and released one season at a time, and
often not until the very end of the previous season. Special programs are offered on a first-come,
first-served basis and are subject to availability.
