Questions about National's EC?

HELP! Finally decided on flights into Tampa b/c of great fares, but now we will be renting a car....something we had not even considered before yesterday. I am a DC member & know we get a discount at National. Do we get a discount on joining the Emerald Club? If so, how do we go about joining? I called National today & the 1st rate I got was $215 (w/fees) but it came down to $176 after I gave her my DC code. This seems higher than the website without DC codes that I checked last night. Are the rates cheaper online? Also, if you book a car & the price goes down before your trip, can you get a price adjustment? Sorry for so many questions, but this rental car thing seems overwhelming. I've been planning this trip since January, but now I have to learn about rental cars! Oh, our trip is 10/13-10/20. TIA!!!

I've always used the internet reservations system and have received great rates. Make sure you use the Disney Club contract code for the discount. You can also use an Entertainment Club coupon if you have one.

If a better rate comes along, reserve it and cancel the old one. Always keep copies of your confirmations.
