Hi, Im new to the boards so hi everyone!

Me and my DFI are taking our first major trip together this summer to Disneyland, and Im really just so excited! :cloud9:
And I just want to make sure that I'm thinking along the right lines for planning. We are staying at the Ramada Maingate for 6 nights, and we purchased the CityPass. So Ive heard that DCA isnt quite as busy as Disneyland is, So my question is, would you leave 1 day for DCA? The pass comes with 3 days at Disney, so Im thinking one for DCA and 2 for Disneyland. Also Ive read that you can see Knotts Berry Farm in half a day, have any of you experienced this to be true?
Also we are going to do the "Welcome to Disneyland tour" has anyone taken this tour? If so whats it like? Is it worth it?
Thanks, I know thats alot of questions so Im sorry! :p

Welcome to the Dis and congratulations on your upcoming trip.
Yes, the days you have figured for DL and DCA are about right. Does your pass allow park hopping? You may find you're done DCA earlier than DL closes and you can go back and forth.
I've never been to Knott's before or done that tour so I can't help with those questions but I'm sure you'll get some help soon. Everyone here is so helpful.
Just let us know if you have any more questions. Enjoy planning your trip! It's half the fun!!!

Thanks! :flower:

Yes, they're the 3 day Bonus Park Hopper Tickets

We have found that we go to both parks each day with the 3 day passes. We are at DL when it opens 2 days, go to DCA when DL gets crowded mid day, then return to DL later in the day when the crowds thin out a bit. The other day we are at DCA when it opens and go directly to Soarin' and then to Tower of Terror. We then go to DL later to finish up the day. It is a very short walk from one park to the other.

If you like fast coaster rides, you will want to spend more than half a day at Knotts.

If you ge to Knott's at opening you can get most of it done by early afternoon time, at least that was my experience. I haven't been to Knott's for many years. The last time we did we got an after 4 pass and still feel like we got a lot accomplished.

The last time we were at Knott's was three years ago, but you can do most of it in a day, if you plan right. It's too big to do in one day but, for example, if you don't have small children, then you can skip Camp Snoopy all together. I just love Knotts!

The best part is the Ghost Town. It's changed a LOT during the years, but it is what makes it so special.

You don't have to go to the restaurant to get the chicken dinner -- there are places in the park where you can get it "to go". Just don't forget to get a slice of boysenberry pie!
