Questions about Mar 2014 trip to BC

I am planning a spring break trip March 8-15, 2014. We'd like to stay at the Beach Club. Should I plan to book right away on July 10 when the 2014 packages come out? It will be during the Epcot flower/garden show so I'm assuming BC will be busy. Is this one of those "if you're not getting reservations the first day you're out of luck" things? I've never been to WDW at this time so not sure what to expect. Thanks for advice!!

If you are ok booking with rack rate, then you can book on July 10th. I don't really think you have to worry about availability....we just stayed at YC during Flower and Garden and there was plenty of availability for both BC and YC leading up to our trip.

IMO it's not necessary to book the day rates come out. If it would make you feel better securing a room, there's definitely nothing wrong with booking right away. However, one advantage to booking early is it gives you a lot of time to pay on the reservation instead of paying the whole thing at once .

Rack rates never go down once they come out, but Disney does sometimes offer room discounts. If a discount comes out for your dates, your existing reservation can easily be modified to reflect the discount, provided the resort/room type you have booked is available under that promo. Sometimes you have to be flexible with your resort/room type in order to take advantage of a discount as having a reservation already in place does not guarantee a discount can be applied.
