questions about late May

A year ago today I was packing for a WDW trip. As of right now we haven't set a date for our next trip but we are looking at the end of May. Our children are out of school on May 21 so we would head down immediately and be there the week before Memorial Day. Has anyone been during that time that can give advice on crowds, hours, etc.?

We were there in May this year ... The crowds aren't too bad ... on some of the more popular rides we waited 20-30 minutes, but many of them were just walk-ons or five minute waits. The crowds really start to pick up the closer to Memorial Day you get. We checked out on the Friday of the long weekend and noticed a lot of guests had started to arrive on Thursday and Friday. Last year, we were there on Memorial Dayweekend and found it was too busy.

I can't remember too much about the hours ... I think Illuminations was on at 9:00PM, Fantasmic only had one showing at 9:00PM and fireworks at MK was at 9:00 PM as well.

And so will we-OKW! We were there Memorial Day week last year. The one positive thing I remember is that we never had to use FP. DS always got on TT (went 3X) within 15 minutes, once he practically walked on. However, the most crowded I remember was E-ride nite Friday (5/30?) That nite DS waited 1/2 hour for Space Mountain.
