tel if i can do better? there are 4 of us going in may, 3 adults and 1 infant, we will be staying at wdw for 4 nites and then doing the cruise for 4 days, since we have the infant my daughter wants me to get a rental car so we can pick up diapers and formula before we go to resort also she feels that we wont have to wait for disney transportation to get back to resort after days in parks since in may its always so hot, then i can take the car to the port and leave it at the pier for the days were on the cruise, i got a rate for 158 and with taxes, it came to a little over 200, i also canceled the car seat because since my grandson is still a infant he'll only be 5 months old we'll take his infant car seat with us, does anyone think or know of a better deal or did i do alright?

also how much is it now to leave car at pier and will the porters that help with luggage bring bags right out to parking lot and are they there to help when you pull into parking lot?

I don't know the specifics about your car rental, but it sounds good to me. I highly agree about having a rental car with an infant. It's just too hard otherwise. I don't know the answers to the second part of your question, sorry.

Parking is currently $10 per day, paid in advance (you can use a credit card).
When you 1st arrive, you will be directed to a luggage drop-off area where you can check in your bags and then go to park. When you return at the end of your cruise, there will be porters in the luggage area that will help find your bags and then take them right out to your car in the parking lot. Don't forget to tip the porters - they are VERY helpful.

For having that rental car for about 7-8 days or so and in Orlando, you did really good at just around $200.00. Having a car with a little one is good it just gives you that extra flexability in your travels etc. Parking at the port is $10.00 per day, they take cash or credit(m/c or visa), your 4 night cruise will cost ya $40.00 to park. After your cruise porters are lined up in the customs area waiting fo assist you. These porters are not employed by Disney but port exclusively for Disney customers I was told. They do an excellent job. Yes you do not want to forget to tip them, anywhere from $1.25 per bag to about $2.00 per bag, I guess it would depend on how many bags he/she is hauling for you. We had 8 bags for the 5 of us that we checked for getting off the ship and we tipped the porter $20.00, thought that was fair. Hope that this helps....
