Hello DISers!
I just snagged a 6:15 ADR for my November trip!! I haven't been there since 1993! My DH and my DD have never been there!

In my rush to book the ADR, I skipped over some of the details  I was afraid if I delayed I would lose it somehow.

(1) The Price. They charged my daughter the child rate. She is currently 9. But when we go she will be 10. Should I do anything about this? Should I call and tell them about the mistake? Or should I leave it? I will feel dishonest if I pay the child price for her. I don't know how that will affect her meal. she likes to eat off the adult menu most of the time.

*UPDATE* I called Disney and explained the issue and had them charge her for an adult.

(2) Tickets. Here is the info from wdw website:
Tickets are available for pickup immediately after reservation has been confirmed online at any Walt Disney World Resort Concierge desk or the box office at Pioneer Hall. For same-day box-office pickup, please arrive 40 minutes prior to show time.

This is what it says in the confirmation email:
Dinner show tickets must be picked up in advance of the show. To avoid delays at check in, visit a Walt Disney World® Resort Concierge Desk up to 7 days prior and then just arrive 10 minutes before show. If you choose to pick up your tickets same-day at the Box Office, please arrive at least 40 minutes prior to show time.

Can I arrange to pick them up at the resort concierge when I check-in the day before the Show?? Or will I have to be there early to pick them up at the box office?

Then, later in the email it says this:
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to event.

So which is it, If I have my tickets ahead of time do I plan to arrive 10 minutes early or 30 minutes early? :confused3

*EDIT*
(3) Getting there. Most likely we will be coming from Epcot. Would it be faster (or just more fun!) to take the monorail to MK and then hop the boat to the Fort? Or should I take the resort buss to the Fort and then the internal bus to HDDR? What time should I leave Epcot to get there? 4:30ish?

Thanks DISers! I'm sure I will have more questions after I get answers to these three!

(1) The Price. They charged my daughter the child rate. She is currently 9. But when we go she will be 10. Should I do anything about this? *UPDATE* I just realized that all of our ADRS list us as 2 adults and 1 child. But HDDR is the only one that is pre-paid. The others I assume will be worked out at the time of the meal (Biergarten, 50PT).

(3) Getting there. I am not sure where we will be in the afternoon- It will either be Epcot, DHS, or MK (I still have some plans to work out!). If we are at MK, we will take the boat. But if we are at DHS or Epcot, what is the best way? Resort bus to the Fort and then the internal bus to the restaurant? If I am at Epcot, would it be faster (or just more fun!) to take the monorail to MK and then hop the boat to the Fort? Or would that take waaaaay longer than the resort bus/ internal bus?

Thanks DISers! I'm sure I will have more questions after I get answers to these three!

1) I am not sure of this, but I would make sure she is charged correctly from the start
2) You can pick your tIckets up at resort concierge at your resort on your check in day.
3) Travel to Pioneer Hall will take awhile, I would plan on 90 minutes from Epcot or DHS. I personally would go to MK and take the boat from there.
Good luck

One more question....

(4) How long is the show? The night of our ADR, MK closes at 8pm with Wishes at 8pm (as of right now anyway). I don't want to try to get back to MK to watch Wishes from inside the park. That would be :scared:, right? There are no parks with late EMH that night ( again... not as of right now), so can I catch Wishes from somewhere at the Fort? I need Robo and his maps!! What time will the Water Parade pass by? Any other suggestions for what to do after the Show?

We always pick up our ticket at our resort concierge the day before or day of. The 6:15 show usually ends by 8, sometimes a little passed 8pm. We love the 6:15 show.. we always do this one. We have never gone from the other parks other than MK since we get ready at the resort before going.. I have only taken the boat from MK to FW.. You can take the bus to FW from Epcot or DHS and use the internal bus system to get to Pioneer Hall though. Just allow yourselves plenty of time to get there in case there are other stops to any of the other surrounding resorts- I know they sometimes share.

One last thing- getting back to your resort. After the last 2 shows they have buses waiting to take you back to your resort. The buses will stop at more than one resort. I wouldn't recommend taking the boat back to MK to get your resort bus there. Not if MK will have heavy crowds leaving as the park closes.

Oh! I didn't know that about the buses. I was thinking about staying around to watch wishes and the water parade. I'd have to get back to POR. How late do the buses run after MK closes? Would I even be able to get the boat back to MK after it has closed?

Or, could I ride one if those buses back after the 8:30 show? I mean... if we have the energy to stick around the Fort that long? We have never been there, so I don't know what there would be to see or do that late.

They do this for the last 2 shows?!! I thought it was only the 8:30 show. That is great to know.. Last year we took a bus to DTD and then another bus to FQ because the line for the boat launch to POFQ from DTD was super long.. it ended up taking forever to get back that night.

Thursday Nov 5. *Fingers crossed that nothing changes with my daughter's dance schedule*.

so has anyone ever stayed after the 6:15 show to watch wishes and/or water parade? It will be early november- will ppl have their campsites decorated at that time of year? Looking for suggestions of things to do after dinner (at the fort) if we still have energy.

I'm dragging this thread back out again. Right now, the plan is to stay and watch wishes after the show (I have decided against staying for the Water Parade). After wishes, what is the best way to get back to POR? Wishes starts at 8:00 that night and the MK closes at 8:00.

Should I take the internal bus to the entrance of The Fort, hop on a bus to DTD and then take boat or bus to POR?
Or should I just shell out the cash for a taxi? or Uber? How much would that cost?
