Questions about Halloween 5K

I'm trying to map out the race route for the Halloween 5K and am confused. It states that the race starts in the Happy parking lot and heads towards Magic Kingdom park. I thought the parking lot was by the Transportation and Ticket center. Approx. how far is the parking lot from the entrance of Magic Kingdom?

Next question is we are not staying at a host hotel. I assume we can drive to the TTC and park without a problem that early in the morning?

I believe that there are a lot of racers that drive themselves to the race if not staying at a host hotel. So if you don't stay at a host hotel, that shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure more information will be forthcoming from Disney regarding where you park if you drive to the race.

This looks like it will be a fun race! I hope to see a lot of Halloween costumes.
