Just drove back from WDW today. Wonderful trip, but got DH and me thinking about our cruise scheduled for March. Do we really want to drive all the way down and then do the 9 hour drive back after we've been so relaxed on the cruise? (We live in Central Alabama.) We've got some frequent flyer tickets, so we're thinking about flying down for our Wonder Cruise, but I have some questions about what those of you who fly down do. What DO you do? We'd fly into Orlando the day before, and then we'd want to stay over at RonJon or one of the other resorts right next to the dock. How do you get from MCO to the Cape? Do you rent a car for the whole week and just let it sit? If you don't rent a car, how do you get over to the Cape, and then how do you get to the dock and back to the airport after the cruise? I know these seem like silly questions, but we always drive down to WDW. This would be a new thing for us.

Thanks in advance.

Julie

Hi,
We get a town car service to pick us up and take us to the hotel at the port. This works great. They pick you up at baggage claim. You can get them for the return trip or use Disney one way back to the airport. We have used Tiffany's twice and been very happy. there are other companys, too. They have vans, towncars and limos.

we're doing a one way rental with budget before the cruise, and DCL transfers back to the airport after the cruise.

Last year we had two days before and 3 days after our cruise in Orlando....we got a killer deal on a 15 passenger van (8 people in our group) through L&S Rental (I think that's the name) so it was actually cheaper for us to park the van at Port Canaveral during the cruise. And the rental van gave us plenty of freedom while we were in Orlando.
