Questions about Gastric Bypass ?

I postedthis question on teh disabilities board but was told that something similiar to my question was addressed ina podcast ( April I believe)

If anyone has a denfinitive answer i would be most greatful


I had the gastric bypass 3 months ago and I am leaving for WDW in 12 days. We are on the DDP and ihave a question about it.

My doctor has given me a card explaining that i cant eat regular portions and asks that I only be charged the child's price. Do the Disney servers honor these type cards? My plans are to use the card at Boma's and Chef Mickey's and pay OOP while saving my 2 TS credits for DM and DD to use later in the trip

I don't know the answer, but it sure is an interesting question.

I would imagine they would maybe let you order children's meals, but I'd be surprised if they let you order a regular meal in a child size portion. They don't have child's prices for regular TS (non-buffet) meals that I know of, they just offer a specific children's menu.

I just got off the off the phone with a CM and I was told that YES if you have a letter/card from your surgeon explaining that you have had a Gastric Bypass and cannot eat full portions, Disney Dining WILL honor that card and only charge you at the child's rate at any of their restaraunts. Please note that I did NOT ask about receiving the entire DDP at a childs rate, but only individual meals paid OOP

I'm really curious as to if they will create child size portion of an adult menu item or if they just mean you can order from the child's menu. And if you can order a child size portion of a regular meal...can you get a child size portion of any regular meal for a child?

They let me eat off the children's menu when I went and was pregnant. Everything made me sick and all I wanted was PB&J....DH eating at Artist Pointe with me having my PB&J was something I wont forget.

If it is not a buffet, I am welcome to order off of the kids menu. If it is a buffet, I am able to just pay the child's price. I did not ask about anything else
