Questions about Fantasmic Dessert Seating

We are considering doing this for my neice's birthday in August, and I have a few questions: Do you get there early to eat before the show starts, or are you supposed to eat during the show? If you stay for the fireworks, is the food out the whole time? (I'm trying to picture how our 3 kids would navigate this during the show!)

Did you think the experience was worth the price?

I really like the experience and IMO it is worth it. You check in earlier that evening and pick your seats.

Once to come back for the show you are seated and given a box of treats. There is no buffet anymore. I wouldn't consider it dinner by any stretch. I usually do the second show. I have dinner around 4:30 or 5 and by the time the 2nd F! comes around it is a nice snack. You can enter the seating about 30 minutes before the show and you eat at that time. You could save the box till later, but that is up to you.

EDIT: If you have someone from your party check-in the group it can be a real surprise for later on.

I did the dessert seating last summer and loved it. I definitely thought it was worth it:) I'd like to add that while your dessert box is with you the whole time, I found it to be too dark to eat it during the show. Part of the experience for me was being able to get there a little early, relax, settle in and enjoy my drink and dessert before the show.

My daughter and I did this last year for my birthday and we loved it. The park was really busy the night that we did it (it was the first night of the Halloween season) so it was really hard to figure out which line you were supposed to be in to check in. Once we checked in we went and did other stuff and then went back for the show. We actually took one full snack box back to our room and brought it home and split the other one while we were there. I would suggest getting either the front row or the back row (the kids can stand up there on the chairs to see better).

We did this last week--it is great! There is a lot of food in the box--many different kinds of cheeses, crackers, and desserts. We couldn't eat everything, the kids didn't even come close!

I got there at 7 to line up and was the third group in line, the first group was for the 2nd show and the 2nd group was for the first show. It was an easy wait, I sent the kids off with my husband to ride some rides. There are now two sections, they give you a recommendation for the best seating available for your family when you check in. We were given drinks throughout the show and they even loaded us up on bottled water as we were leaving.

Totally, completely worth the money.
