I'm trying to work out whether it would be worth the extra hours drive to Ashford to save money and hassle.
I think the hotels there will be cheaper than Waterloo and driving in London is a nightmare.

I've just been on the Eurostar site to see if the prices are any cheaper when travelling from Ashford. I've tryed lots of different dates but theres no availability. Does anyone know the price difference ?

For Waterloo I was getting £149 first class and £99 standard. Is this price one way or return ?
There was nothing on there about Castle Class is this the same as first class?

One more question, are all the seats around tables ?

Thanks in advance :p

We went from Ashford last time and we are doing it again this year. We went down the night before and stayed in a Travel Inn. I think it is worth the drive, it would be a nightmare for us to cross London with two kids plus the expense of a train fare to London. The fares you quoted are return, but I believe there is no difference in price if you go from London or Ashford. Last time we couldn't get a decent price on a direct service and choose to change at Lill which was cheaper. The other option is you can get a cheaper fare to Paris and take the RER to the Disneyland paris station. Depending on when you go prices do vary and it is worth keeping an eye on the special offers. We booked this year using Airmiles plus money, that worked out cheaper than just paying the cash price.

No, the seats are not all around tables. Castle Club is similar to a 'club class' experience on airlines and is designed for families not wanting to spend the full amount for 1st Class, but also wanting a bit of added space. The CC carriage offers refreshment packs and larger seats, but not the full dining service of 1st class.

Like DisneyBB said, the prices are the same from both London and Ashford.

We have been from both Ashford and Waterloo. Ashford was so much more convinient, definitely worth the extra drive. Central London is too much of a hassle! Have fun!

Thankyou all for your replies :D

My mind is made up to go from Ashford.
According to the AA's site it will only take a further 50 mins.
I'd rather the extra time in the car with the little ones strapped firmly in their car seats and not trying to run around the train
Plus as you say theres not the hassle of Central London.
