Do you buy or lease the points? That is, do you get title to them and own them as property, or do you have rights to use them for a limited number of years?

What are the annual maintenance fees per point?

We are timeshare owners with Shell vacations Club and are considering buying a DVC too.

TIA,
Dave

It's a deeded ownership interest that expires at a specified future date. Take that however you wish. ;)

Owners at Saratoga Springs have contracts that run through January 31, 2054. The rest of the DVC resorts end on January 31, 2042.

Some people seem to have a hang-up over the ending date, but I can think of two factors that are impossible to ignore:

1. You won't find a timeshare on Disney property that DOESN'T have an ending date.

2. All things being equal, the typical family that visits Disney at least once a year WILL save money...a LOT of money.

It's more like a "right to use" contract. I believe that technically, you are buying a deeded interest in a lease. At the end of the term, all ownership interests revert back to Disney.

Best wishes -
