I see on the Magical Beginings schedule that the Doodlebops will be at wdw during our trip (Sept 6-9). I'm thinking about taking the kids to see it, but wondering if it's a major pain to have to get the tickets? How do you get them (I know you can't until the day of the concert, right?). Is it a total mob? Not sure if it'd be worth it if we have to spend half of the day standing in line just to get the tickets.;)

If anyone went last year--what was your experience? Would you go again?

I would like to know how to get tickets to the shows also. We wont be there for Doodlebops but for and Johnny & the Sprites.

When we were there in Aug once you entered MGM in the sound stage area where who wants to be a millionaire play it was they had the show. Tables were set up outside you go and fill out your info and get basically a fast pass for a return time. They also have a stand by line which is probably like trying to get into the candle light processional. During our trip the doodlebops came the day we left but for Mickey's Magic Show we didn't know that you needed a ticket so when we got there it was like and hour early and waited in the stand by line and we got to go in but I don't think they let everyone in the line in.

When we were there last year the Wiggles were performing. I had heard all about long lines and having to get to MGM before opening in order to wait in line to get tickets etc. and I decided to forget it. I did not want all the hassle although I thought DD would love to see them. Well, we were at MGM that day anyways and we were walking by the Indiana Jones theater and the CM's were inviting anyone in to see the Wiggles. Apparently they did not give very many tickets away for that particular show and they were inviting anyone in. We got really good seats and everything. But then my DD decided that she would rather go to Lights Motors Action and then pouted while we were watching the Wiggles so we left and then missed the LMA show too. That was not fun and I was darn glad I had not waited in line fore tickets!

Disney has the dates and times posted on their website.
When you open this link click on playhouse disney concet and it will list dates and who is preforming.

Thanks for the heads up! I've been waiting for these to be announced to decide when to do an early morning at MGM. Of course, we'll be there for two weeks--and those are the two weeks it says "Entertainment TBD (to be decided)." So I guess I'll just wait some more. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Kids--they really know how to suck the fun out of Magical Beginnings, don't they? ;) Here's my story--I talked for weeks about how the Doodlebops were going to be performing while we were there, and the kids weren't remotely interested. I TiVo'd the show, and they refused to watch it. We got to WDW, and they flat out told me they didn't want to see the Doodlebops because "they freak us out." I told them the night before "tomorrow is the last chance to see the Doodlebops--are you sure you don't want to go?" Absolutely not. You can see where this is heading, can't you? The next day, we were hanging out in the room, and the kids were watching the Doodlebops on tv when dd says. . . wait for it. . . "I think I would kinda like to see the Doodlebops." Uh, their last show starts in 10 MINUTES, HONEY! I still give her a hard time about it.

Disney has finally posted the groups who will be performing during those weeks that have been listed as to be determined for months. September 20-23 will be the Imagination Movers and September 27-30 and October 4-7 will be Choo-Choo Soul.

Don't know show times or venues yet, other than they'll all be at MGM. Hope this is helpful to those of you with little ones!

OMG! Now I'm going to have to change my touring plans! My two youngest boys can't get enough of the Doodlebops! My ten year old just told me he would tolerate it for them so I guess I'm off to start making some changes! Thanks for the tips:thumbsup2

Now I'm torn between going for Johnny and the Sprites or Choo Choo soul! My DS LOVES Choo Choo soul! He really likes the Wiggles too and I was hoping that they would be one of the groups TBA. Oh well... guess I am going to have to watch him and see which show gets a better reaction! :lmao:
