Due to a tremendous boo-boo on my part, I have an unused AP voucher. I bought one for my son about 10 yrs ago, and realized when when arrived that I had forgotten the voucher at home and I had to buy another. Great way to start a vacation....LOL! I would like to buy another voucher, so that when the time comes that my wife and I could utilize them, we would have one for each of us.
When you buy an AP using your DVC discount, do you get a voucher? If so, can you hold the voucher and use it years down the road or do you need to use it within certain period of time?
Another question - If you can buy the voucher now and use it later, is there a limit to how many you can buy now and hold for future use. The reason I ask this is that our long range "Disney Plan" includes buying more points as we can afford them and buying tickets (10-day or AP's) to use once we are working less and able to travel more. We figure if we have rooms and tickets pre-paid, our travel costs will be less when we are on lower or fixed incomes. I'm assuming the money I save by buying tickets now and avoiding price increases will offset any or at least part of the cost of putting money out now for tickets. (for all you accountants out there)
Sorry for the long winded question and any help would be appreciated.
