I would like to eat at the Blue Bayou and do one character meal. It appears that DL still uses the old reservations system at some restaurants and PS are required at others. Do I understand correctly that all of the character meals require actual reservations? And I would make PS for the Blue Bayou?

Also, which character meals are particularly good in your opinion? We like buffets just fine and don't require slews of character interaction which is why we enjoy breakfast at CP in WDW so much. :)

Any other restaurants I should consider? Any and all thoughts are more than welcome!

Bumping...

Now I just know that someone who's been to Disneyland has also eaten at a few of these places! ;) I would love to at least verify that Disney is still using a reservation system in Disneyland. Can anyone verify this?

We made a reservation (ps?) for Goofy's Kitchen when we were there in August. We made reservations (ps?) the morning of for Blue Bayou. I do not know if they accept ressies/ps for blue bayou for offsite guest other then the day of.

 Hi Planogirl.. I just made reservations from this number..area code 714-956-6755
When you call the person that answers takes reservations for wherever you want to eat.
I made them for Blue Bayou, Storyteller's Cafe and Mary Poppins Tea. Very easy to do.
She only asked me for my credit card number for the Mary Poppins Tea.
Good luck and happy eating!:D

:bounce: Forgot to tell you that this is for up to 30 days in advance, I wasn't quite at the 30 day mark, but the girl went ahead and booked the reservations.:bounce:

<font color=navy>I believe tiggerpoo has it right as far as reservations w/cc's are concerned.

I've been to the following character meals: Disneyland- Main Street Plaza Breakfast w/Pooh & friends, DL Hotel-Breakfast buffet @ Goofy's kitchen, DCA-Dinner w/Ariel & friends @ Avalon Cove, PP Hotel-Practically Perfect Tea w/Mary Poppins.

I'd have to say that Goofy's Kitchen is the best, even though we had more fun at Avalon Cove (must have been the crowd I was with). The food at GK was very good, and it was a buffet.

Thanks for the info! I had no idea that 30 days was the mark and Goofy's Kitchen was definitely on my list of possibles. And the Mary Poppins Tea....

The only problem with two days at Disneyland is not enough time to dine everywhere! ;)

Thanks again.
