what is the weather like really this time of year for those going last few years.
what are the crowds like at this time?

Mommy, weather in Florida in early-mid December is relatively mild. Temps are usually in the mid 60s to 70s during the day, down to maybe the 50s at night. Of course if a front makes it's way down, at worst it might be in the 50s during the day and 40s at night. Probably not much in the way of rain.

Crowds shouldn't be too heavy. You probably know the drill - get to the parks early, use fast pass etc. Crowds will definitely build as the holidays get closer.

Overall, a good time to go. I think as time has passed, more folks are figuring out it's a good time to go, so it's not as slow as it used to be. But still, it's a lot better than the week between Christmas and New Years and less crowded than the summer months.

crowds that time of the year area really nothing. That is one of the better times to go. All the holiday deocrations will be up but without the holiday crowds. Weather can vary very much. It can be anywhere from low 80's to high 30's. I have been there & it was freezing (at least to me, I am south of WDW) and then there were times that I was there in shorts... the nights will be cool even if warm during the day. You will not get much rain, but if you do, it will be an all day rain, not like the summer rains (for an hour and then gone). There won't be much humidity either...
Like I said, it is one of the better times to go....

Crowds are very low. Wait time for most rides was no more than 15 minutes, and was usually only about 5 minutes. The weather was such that during that day I wore jeans and a t-shirt and I threw on a sweatshirt in the evening. Very nice!!

Thanks. I usually go in Sept but couldn't make it so now I am going for my birthday and was worried about enjoying it because of weather.

We've been in December a number of times. Typically the weather has been nice and comfortable - but we've also hit the unusually COLD as well - as in overnight temps nearing the freezing mark and day times not even hitting 60*. You may want to be prepared for just about anything. :confused3

Two years ago, we were there the beginning of Dec., and the weather was all over the map. Early in the trip, temperature was low 80s, and we wished we had brought shorts with us. End of the trip, weather was near freezing for MVMCP -- I thought we were going to freeze on the tram to the parking lot. Best advice is to plan for sweatshirt/light jacket for early morning and jeans or pants, but take a pair of shorts, some short-sleeved shirts, and something for cold weather in case you need it. I was so glad we had our hats, gloves, heavy sweater and winter coat for our last MVMCP!

It's still my favorite time of year to visit the World, but you just have to pack a little more!

I am going those exact dates this year! I LOVE this time of year, but it can be very chilly, so I always pack heavy jackets/gloves/hats to put in the backpack for nighttime. The crowds last year weren't bad by any means, but not empty either. We managed to do all of the main attractions at least once and many twice in a four night stay and we even did a TS meal every day. Just plan everything well and you'll be fine! See ya there!
