My family and I are staying at CSR in mid April. Was wondering if anyone could help with the following questions.

1) Best location for a family with two children ages 7 and 9? Would like to be close to the dig site.

2) Does the CSR have smoking and non-smoking rooms?

3) What is the chance of being upgraded to a water view room?

4) Our family is not big on breakfast. Is there any place within CSR to get cereal, muffins, yogurt and coffee?

5) We will have a vehicle during this trip. Is it better to drive to the parks or should we take WDW transporation.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

DayDreaming,

First of all, welcome to the Disboards, where all of life's questions.......pertaining to Disney at least, are answered.

Yes, there are smoking and no-smoking rooms.

I believe in the Pepper Market you can get cereal, muffins, etc. I think there might even be a coffee maker in your room.

I think you can get an upgrade, but I'm not sure how.

Use the WDW transportation, you'll be thankful that you did(saves time and money).

Your other questions are best left to the experts, Buzz2001 and SteveH.

Piglet203 and I will be staying at the CSR in May and Buzz and Steve have helped us out a lot, as well as the many other members here at the DIS.

Have a great time!!!!!

I reccommend the Rancheros, and request to be near dig site! They are really nice and far away from the convention areas, but that also means far away from the main buildings.

1) Best location for a family with two children ages 7 and 9? Would like to be close to the dig site. the cabanas, preferrably 8a or 8b

2) Does the CSR have smoking and non-smoking rooms? yes

3) What is the chance of being upgraded to a water view room? very good. It has happened to me each time there. There are no bad view rooms in the cabanas

4) Our family is not big on breakfast. Is there any place within CSR to get cereal, muffins, yogurt and coffee? The Pepper Market has a great bakery section with some awesome pastries. La Tienda (the store) has small items you can pick up. Yes, there is a coffee maker in the room.

5) We will have a vehicle during this trip. Is it better to drive to the parks or should we take WDW transporation. use CSR transportation. One of the best at WDW. Only resort to offer direct Boardwalk service which is great for leaving Epcot after Illuminations or if you are starting in the WS.

I second everything that Buzz just said. The only thing I wanted to add is that there is a little store area in the entrance to the Pepper Market that sells yogurt, milk, etc. Hope that you enjoy your stay--it is a great resort!
