questions about creating website -- putting pictures in posts

Please bear with me because I am not a techical person. Ok I can program my vcr but that's about it.

I have pictures on discs and then I have some at one of those photo programs. If I want to put them in a post here do I have to create a web site?

If so, do I have to save the photos to c: or can I just do it from the photo site where they are now?

Can someone hold my hand while I stumble through this? LOL

We'll be glad to help, Beth. We can even help with that smilie in your signature that's showing up as a red X.

You can probably link to the ones that are on a photo site. Do you have the URL for one that we can look at?

Don't panic, but the ones on a disc will have to be saved to your computer first, then uploaded to a website. It's really not that hard. I promise. We've helped millions through the process. Well, a few at least. I've seen many posts from people claiming to be non-technical types who followed our instructions with success.

The easiest way to do it is to set up a DIS website. You can find detailed instructions in the links in my signature. I think it's the second Mickey from the top.
