Questions about CR tower rooms

I've got a couple of questions about the CR tower rooms:

1) Are they noisy? Is there much noise coming from the concourse?

2) If you get a room that doesn't face the MK, are there viewing areas on each floor to see Wishes from? Is there anywhere that they pipe in the music besides California Grill?

We expected it to be noisy, but it was not noisy in anyway when we were there.

There are not viewing areas on each floor, but there is a nice, large area on the 4th (?) floor for viewing. I don't recall if the music is piped in there or not, but it is a very nice viewing area.

Thanks! I figured that Disney soundproofed those rooms pretty well. :)

Well, we were up pretty high (14), and had no concourse noise problem. We could hear the fireworks. They were pretty loud! *LOL*

If you have a lake room, I don't think there is another viewing area, other that the general public ones (4th floor). Cource, you could splerge and stay up on 14, then you could view them from the lounge balcony with a nice glass of something *adult* in your hands... ;)

14th floor is very serene/quiet, with little/no noise disturbance from the concourse. ;) As for alternative "wishes" viewing areas, everyone covered the 4th floor. Of course, you can always dine in the Cali grill, (and walk outside on the lounge terrace for a spectacular view).

We also dined in Cindy's castle, and had a beautiful view/showing of wishes! :goodvibes

Unfortunately the 14th floor is a little over our budget this trip--it's definitely on our list of places to stay though! I think I'll request a MK view room so we can see the fireworks from our balcony if they can meet our reqeust.

We stayed on the 5th (I think) floor several years ago. It was directly above the monorail pick-up. We could feel the monorail every now and then (slight vibration), but it just added to the cool factor for us! We would not have traded our room and view for anything! As far as noise, I don't remember that being a problem even with those awaiting the monorail.

You don't have to dine in the California Grill to go outside and watch the fireworks. If I remember correctly, you just turn in the opposite direction upon exiting the elevators, go down the hall past the Napa Room, etc, and outside for a rooftop view.
