Questions about booking room only?

We are planning to do a trip in May of next year and thinking about a split stay. The first 4 days will be at POP and we'll do that as a package when the package rates come out. We are thinking about doing a deluxe(maybe AKL) the last 4 days and just do room only. When those rates come out next month(hopefully), will I be able to go ahead and book with the AAA discount or do those rates have to come out seperately? Does that make sense? Also, when the booking the room only section is it still a $200 deposit with the rest due 45 days before trip or do you pay one nights stay with the rest due on arrival? Hopefully someone knows the answers to these questions.TIA!

When you book a room only reservation you pay a one night deposit, not the 200 you pay with a package. Then the rest is due when you check in. As for the AAA rates, many people are awaiting these to be released. I hope that they are released at the same time as the rack rates. But since disney won't say officially when even the rack rates will be released, they certainly are not saying anything about the AAA rates.
