Ok, I couldn't figure out the best place to ask, so here goes...

I am going to be at Disney in December for 9 days. I already booked the vacation with MYW passes and dining. Now I am planning a longer trip in August of next year (possibly as long as 2 weeks), so I am considering buying APs for us. I'm doing this primarily to save on my per day park cost, but would also love it if I got some sort of room discount.

So here are my questions...

If I stick with my reservation as is for Dec, can I actually upgrade to an AP when I get there??

If I purchase the APs now is there any rate I can get for a package, or just room only? (We kind of wwant to keep the dining plan for this trip)

What is the process for buying AP's...I know they send you a voucher, but what is required when activating? Do I just have to have ID for my dh and I, or will I have to bring ID for the kids?

DDE...worth it?? My kids are definately light eaters in parks, so we wouldn't be doing much more than a few character meals here and there.

Ok, I guess that's enough with the questions for now...sorry! Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me.

If you want the Disney Dining Plan, you have to buy a package. To my knowledge, there are no Annual Pass discounts for packages, because packages always include a park ticket.

You can indeed take the MYW ticket that comes with your package and upgrade it to an annual pass when you get there. The cost will be the current cost of the annual pass minus what you paid for your tickets.
