Questions about AP Disney Dining Experience

okay..I've decided to get an AP..why I didn't do that last Sept when this will be our 3rd trip in a year I'll never know...duh.

Do I purchase the DDE separately from the AP. Who do I contact about that. I've been calling a number that CRO gave me and it just repeats their hours of operation over and over again, never connects me to a live person.

Also..I saw the list of participating restaurants on Mousesavers (subject to change). Do you get a discount if the restaurants offers a character meal? Do I need to tell them about the DDE when I make PSs?

You get the discount at all the restaurants listed, with a few exceptions or resrictions. All character meals seem to be covered. Yoy do not need to tell the CM that you have DDE unless it is one of the places that you have to pay for ahead of time.

I made a PS for Hoop-Dee-Doo and would have been charged $100 for 2 people if I had not mentioned DDE. With DDE I only paid $80. Already saved $20 and I havn't even gotten there yet. by the way HHDR is one of the restricted locations, you can only get the discount at the late show. The late show won't get out until at least 11PM so might not be too great if you have little ones who are tired.

Me too! Are you calling 407-566-5858? Very frustrating! I was just coming to post to see if anyone has any info or a different number.

To answer the rest of your questions...you buy your AP first, then call DDE to get your card. They need a number on the back of your AP voucher. I'm almost positive character meals ARE included, at least I'm hoping since my main reason for getting this card is Chef Mickeys!
