Questions about American Airlines/Southwest & WDW shuttle service

We are going to WDW in three weeks and are flying on American Airlines. We will be going with a group of family members and half are flying with us on American and the others are flying on Southwest. I was wondering where we go to catch the shuttle service to our hotel in WDW? Is the shuttle service far? We are all flying in at the same time and are hoping to meet up and catch the shuttle at the same time. Any advice/tips are appreciated. We are flying with 5 kids, 3 of them about 2 and under so we are hoping to get through the airport quickly.

I believe you pick up the Mears shuttle in the baggage claim area. You shouldn't have a problem finding the rest of your group.

But... can I make a suggestion?! With that large of a group the shuttle is going to be pretty pricey ($29 for adults, $21 for kids (under 3 free) roundtrip). You might consider booking a van through one of the towncar services. I know that tiffanytowncar.com, who I've used for towncar service before, has van service for up to 10 passengers for $120 roundtrip (plus gratuity). They meet you in baggage. The cost might work out to be the same, but you have the option of a grocery store stop and you have a direct ride to your resort, rather than the possiblity of having to stop at other resorts first.

you should really look into towncar service. waiting for mears can be a long time. and with children that is not fun. I used sunray transportation my last trip. i have a family of 4. they pick you up in either a 10 passenger van or a suv. they also have car seat. and they look new. they had no hidden fees. which i feared. and the grocery store stop was a big hit and saved us money.
