My DD is being tested for Milk, egg and peanut allergies. They dont think she has an egg allergy, but are testing to be safe. I know Milk allergies are different that Lactose Intollerance. Does anyone else have Milk allergies. I am looking for info for when we go to WDW in October.....

I was tested about a year and a half ago, adult onset allergies, and milk was the only reaction I had in the food tests. It was a slight allergy, nothing to really worry about, the doc said, but I do notice that I seem to have a small reaction when I do drink milk or have some kind of dairy.

I tend to have a slight (very slight!!) tickle in my throat if I'm drinking a whole cup of milk or bowl of ice cream but it's not enough to make me stop.

My doctor wasn't concerned about it either, he told me to just not drink a whole half gallon of milk or tub of ice cream.

On a scale of one to four, which is what my doc uses for reactions, I rated a one.

I hope this helps.

You can note whatever allergies she has on your ADR's. The CS places have a binder (you have to ask) that list the ingredients. I found that hard to manage though if the restaurant is busy cause it is impossible to get it without waiting in the que then once you get up there to order - you ask for the book - and then you have to read it - and it is HUGE! Ok...my one and only experience with THE BOOK - others seem to have an easier time of it - LOL! Of course you only need to read the items that interest you and not everything. The one I looked at did not have it easy to see if the item contained peanuts, milk, soy, etc. or "may contain" - it was just ingredients which are very tedious to read through.

Anyway - also do a search here on the disabilities board for Brenda Bennet's email and/or phone number. She will email you some info on other things like the ice cream carts, etc. with what might and might not be safe.

You will be easily taken care of in most ADR places. Other places depend on the allergies somewhat.
