Questions about a few things....

1. What is that wall to the right with the small green windows on the way out of the Park on the tram?
Anyone know what I am talking about?
2. When does the Sleeping beauty Castle walk through thing open?
And just so you all know, yes we went back to DL today , again, yes we were there on Monday, love the AP's! and lo and behold.... even though the calendar on the DL site said otherwise, the HM is officially closed until the 26th.

I dont think that is it. It is on the side of the DTD area. It looks like there are palm trees on it but it is just a huge fabric piece. It is a mystery

I find that questions like that (what is the building with the windows near DTD) are more easily answered on micechat... Not saying that no one will know here, it's just...there are more people over there that would know something that specific. IMO.

Do you mean that they had said it closed on the 8th, but that it's closed now? I think they changed that a few weeks ago, since I remember a thread by a Diser who had planned the trip to include what had been planned to be the last day, and was very disappointed. So were they working on the ground outside of it, as was theorized to be the reason for the week-early closure?

Yes, I had checked yesterday before we went because it is my favorite ride and though oh good, we can ride it one more time before it closes.
The calendar on the DL site said it was going to be closed on the 8th and re-opened on the 26th. But when we got there , there was a very long "wall fence" starting at French Marked and ending around the HM. I asked, and a CM stated that Yes it was infact closed for the Halloween overlay.
The "wall fence" went clear around the outside of the HM fence/entrance.
Later when we rode the Mark Twain River Boat, we could see glimpses of Jack Skellington on the lawn and cranes and lifts and scaffolding. The HM is down until Sept. 26th.

Tony Baxter of Imagineering said something along the lines of (I don't remember the exact quote) "Before the last leaves of autumn fall, Sleeping Beauty will awaken again within the castle walls. Of course in California that could be in January." MousePlanet is reporting a mid-November opening for the castle walkthrough.

I hope they get it done by early Oct. Otherwise there will be a mandatory Dec. Trip for at least three days to see the castle...lol
