Ok, I am getting ready to fax my site request for the first week of May,...and I was searching thru the forum (without any luck:confused3) for pictures of sites that were the closest to the comfort station. Again I hate to ask the same questions that you all have patiently answered time and time again....

BUT:rotfl2: for those who have stayed in the 900 loop...do you know of the site#'s that are (literally) in front of the comfort stations? I will be 7 1/2 months pregnant:banana: along with a "newbie":cheer2:potty-trained 2 yr old. SO...my nightly trips to the c.s. would be "less" of a headache if I was literally parked in front of the bathrooms :rolleyes1

Sorry for the t.m.i.,,....but us preggo's can't help it

I am just trying to be as specific as possible so I can make our trip more enjoyable....were in a pop-up...I guess I could always keep a 5 gal. bucket handy:scared1:

900 is my favorite loop. I've stayed in both the site next to the comfort station and the one across the street that if you come in the entrance you could drive right into. Problem with the one right next to the CS is the ice machine is there too so it can be noisy, not to mention the path to 1000 loop is right there too and you may hear a lot of noise. I think it's 934 across from there. Let me take a look and see.

I have to help the pregnant lady.

I just enjoyed a stay in the 900 loop two weeks ago.

First, the FW map is a bit misleading regarding the location of the comfort station on the 900 loop. The map makes it look like the comfort station is a bit into the loop, when it really is right at the loop entrance, right next to the bus stop.

Here is an aerial photo that shows where the comfort station is. I have also marked the 6 closest sites. The closest site that Stacktester referenced in his post is 932:

This site is just steps away from the comfort station. But, as Donnie said, all of the campers from the 1000 loop will be walking right by your site to get to the comfort station, and the ice machine is close enough that it might bother you.

I would be sure to include your "TMI" in your site request so the site assigner understands your situation. If you can't get one of these 6 sites, then perhaps you could be put close to a comfort station on one of the other full hook up loops.

There is a possibility that they will start up the renovations on 900, or one of the adjacent loops by the first week of May, and the 900 loop might not be available. There are sites just as close, if not closer, to comfort stations on other full hook up loops. I am thinking of the 1600 loop in particular.

Happy camping!

I think 931 was the one I really liked. You don't have to go around the loop to get to it unless somebody is coming your way. I really hope FW is done with the loops. 900 being Premium is gonna stink. Doubt I'd ever stay in there again.

We were in the 900 loop last summer. My sil was in 904 and we were in 905 i think. Even that was reasonable distance from the comfort stations. I really liked this loop.

Yeah, we stayed in 928 (next to 930) when Donnie/Stacktester was in 931 and we said hello.

Also, I might suggest the 1000 loop right behind the Comfort Station (underneath in TCD's picture). 1001 is neared the main road, 1003 (another old site of ours) is right behind the CS and the walkway/path is between 1003 and 1005. So any of those low 1000-loop numbers would work too.

thanks for all the helpful replies....once we get there and they give us our site #,...if we aren't happy with the location, would they relocate us? Are they reasonable about special requests? I don't want to be "That" preg. lady they refer to, and I know I am no more special than anyone else, I just didn't know if they were willing to budge, because I know they assign the sites several days if not a week before?

Thanks for all the detailed info...you guys are the greatest!:worship:

In my experience, if you ask nicely, the castmembers will do all they can to accommodate you.

But, you have to understand that if the site you want is not available because someone else is already in it, or it is closed for maintenance, there isn't anything that can be done about that.

And, if you get to the loop, and you see an open site, it doesn't necessarily mean that you can have it. It might have already been assigned to a group traveling together, or to someone else who made a special request.

To avoid the hassle of having to switch sites, I highly recommend that you be as flexible as possible in your request. For example, if the most important thing to you is being next to a comfort station, then you should not be insistent on the 900 loop. Your request should be that you would like to be as close as possible to a comfort station, and 900 would be your first choice. And then pick a second choice (I recommend 1600). That should pretty much take care of you request. If the most important thing to you is to be on the 900 loop, then probably you shouldn't confine your request to the sites right next to the comfort station. Tell the site assigner, in general, what you are looking for. You may not get the greatest site in the Fort, but you will probably have your major need addressed.

One thing that concerns me is that if too many people get too demanding with special requests, the Fort management could end its informal policy of accepting special requests. And, then all of us will lose that little perk.
