Questions-1st time using points

Our home resort is SSR. We our planning a trip to WDW for July 2008 checking out on July 27th. I can call tomorrow morning make the reservation. I want to try and reserve one of the 3 bdr villas. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Are some of the buildings better to stay in than others...close to the best pools for the kids, best view, etc. I am planning on renting a car while there. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You do know that you could have called day-by-day to make your reservations with the last night of your vacation being booked tomorrow?

YES YOU CAN BOOK NOW, and good luck. The car is an excellent idea it will make getting around much easier, as I have heard that SSR buses fill up rather quickly and it can be a wait before the next one comes by. As for building and room requests no help here sorry.

I have stayed in the grand villas at SSR. They are beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! As for the location. Really there isn't a bad location at SSR. The construction is all done, so you don't have that to consider. If you want to be close to the main pool, restaurants, gift shop etc, then I would say ask for the "springs" section. We just returned from SSR 2 weeks ago and we were in the paddocks section. It is between the main entrance and the check in building. You can get around the entire resort though by taking a bus within the resort and just get off before it leaves the resort. Having a rental car helps in the regard that you can just leave whenever you feel like it. I went to the grocery store myself to get our groceries, but have had garden grocer deliver to the resort in the past. We rented a trailblazer a few weeks ago because we had tickets to see the space shuttle go up and also have lunch with some former astronants. We also went to Cocoa Beach for the day, so having the rental really helped. Have a great trip. I hope you get the villa you want. The grand Villa is huge. It has 4 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room and a washer and dryer!!!! Pack light and do your laundry every few days. Then come home with clean clothes in your suitcase. It makes a huge difference!!

We are going on the DCL after WDW. It will be nice to do all of our
before hand and not have to do it on the cruise ship.
