On the My Disney Experience App under "My tickets" is shows a 1 day magic your way park hopper ticket that says "valid through 12/31/30". We recently bought park tickets but not hopper tickets. Does this mean we have unused days from a prior ticket? I called Disney but the gal I spoke to wasn't of much help. :flower1::thanks:

I don't know the answer, but over on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board is someone who can answer all sorts of question about My Disney Experience and tickets. @hiroMYhero can you help?

Thanks PrincessShmoo for tagging me! :)

The 1-day PH ticket may be a leftover Ticket from a package or it could be a "ghost" ticket - a used ticket that was never removed from the system. Because it's valid through 2030, it's a Ticket that was issued prior to February 2017.

To check if it's a valid ticket, you can go to the FP area of MDE and begin booking FPs. Because you have another linked ticket, check to see if you can book consecutive days of FPs for the total of the 1-day plus the length of your other ticket.

If you can book FP days for the combined total of the tickets in that specific Profile, the 1-day ticket is a valid ticket.

I renewed our APs online with the DVC discount and we got an expiration
of Dec 31, 2030 also. Gee I wonder if they will honor that date!! Lol

That is the correct "expiration date" for new AP certificates.

But, no, it is not the expiration date of AP renewals.

I just noticed the same thing on my account! I don't want to mess with fastpasses because our trip is in a month. So scared to mess up my FOP fastpass - LOL.

You can attempt to book 1 FP for today and if the FP system allows it, your ticket is valid.

Then, go to the FP you booked for today and Cancel it. You won't lose any other FPs.

I checked MDE and I have one of these tickets as well, but I also have an AP that doesn't expire until next April. How can I check to see if this mystery ticket is actually valid?

Try to book 8 days of FP.

Reassign it to a person who doesn't have an AP.

You can add a"new" person called Ticket Check and then go through the process of booking 1 FP. :)

Not to confuse things, but the ticket still might not be valid. Last year we had a member in our party who had a 10 day non-expiration ticket that was linked to his MDE account. We were pretty sure he only had 1 day left on the ticket but MDE was showing 7 days available on the ticket. I called Disney (IT and reg number) before our FP booking day to see if I could verify the number of days on the ticket. Both told me 7 days. MDE let me book 7 days worth of FPs. The evening of our first day - after he had used the ticket to enter a park and for FPs - he received an email telling him he would need to purchase a ticket or loose the rest of his FPs. We were prepared for this so it was not a problem but could have been.

This was an old ticket that I believe was re-issued so it could be added to MDE so that might have been the problem but just wanted to let you know our experience.

The first available date it gave me to book a FP was 9/1. So I take it this is a ghost ticket and not valid?

I tried, but there's no option to reassign the ticket. Also, the ticket shows up in the app, but not on the website. Seems fishy to me. :)

It could mean it's a regular-priced ticket and that is the first upcoming regular-priced entry day versus a peak day today.

If it's only showing up in the app and not the website, it's probably just a ghost ticket and you won't be able to do anything with it.

That's what I figured. Wasn't too excited about it because it's probably just a glitch. It's also showing my 2 day Park Hopper that we purchased as part of a package with an expiration date of 9/24/17, which is the last day of our current reservation, when I know that one doesn't expire until 12/31/18. :)
